Yoazahs!

It's my new catch phrase.  Yesterday I had a cyst removed and though the actual removal didn't hurt a bit, the shots of novocain hurt like you wouldn't believe!  Anyhow, every time the doc stuck me all I could do was say, "Yoazahs!" to keep myself from crying like a baby!  Not exactly sure why at that particular moment I decided to start channeling Inspector Gadget...but I did.

More importantly however, I am now stomach virus free and cyst free so I'm feeling great!  Unfortunately, I start back to school on Monday but at least I'll be healthy, right?  Not counting the sickness and surgery I really did enjoy this break.  Jay and I went out to Berry's campus several times to enjoy a little physical fitness and the beautiful scenery that the campus provides.  I've taken up running and Jay bikes right beside me singing inspirational songs like We Are The Champions and Eye of The Tiger to keep me going...it's hilarious, I wish you could all see us out there!

On the home front I really haven't done much except for the dishes and laundry I spoke of the other day.  I'll be taking some photos today of items for my craigslist ads.  I'll try to put that up later this week.  If anyone's interested those items will include two rolling office chairs, a desk, a study lamp, a computer monitor, a side table, a small tv...and a few things I can't think of off the top of my head.  While I'm thinking of it, I may as well go ahead and take those photos.  Wish me luck on selling a few things!

Here Goes Nothin'...

Well, I guess its our turn, we've decided to start a blog.  With my entire family and most of our friends living so far away these days we thought this would be a great way for us to keep everyone updated with the goin's on of our lives : )  Now, I'm not the best writer in the world, but hopefully this new hobby will aid me in my reflective/writing abilities.  Wish me luck!

Unfortunately, I've been very ill over the last few days thanks to a stomach virus (compliments of one of my students from my field placement).  However, Jay was quite the nursemaid so things are looking up and I'm feeling better and better each day.  In all of my down time I've had a while to think about all the projects around the house I'm hoping to accomplish this spring and summer.  On the list include:
  • Finish rehabing the coffee table
  • Reframe the photo of the Bangs' family farm
  • Decorate the office
  • Put the finishing touches on the guest room
  • Actually put family photos in the frames located all around the house (I know...so sad)
  • Paint the gun cabinet
  • Paint the shudders
  • Redesign the laundry room
  • Organize the garage
  • Create a few craigslist ads for some of the items that we need to get rid of
  • And put in a ceiling fan in the living room
Of course "my projects" will most likely become "our projects" by the time I/we have a chance to get to them.  In the meanwhile, I'm just hoping I can make a dent in the backed up laundry and dishes we've got going on here at the Lanier household.  For now, just reading my list is exhausting and its off to bed for me.  Nighty night!
